Getting started
How to join a project
A project pools sub-frames of one target from many imagers. You join with a code from its owner, then image as usual; the plugin uploads your frames in the background.
1. Get a join code
The owner gives you a 12-character code like H4RT-92BK-WNPC, or an invite link of the form /join#code=…. Project pages do not show the code to the public.
2. Make an account
Register with an email address and verify it from the link we send. Accounts are free.
3. Install the plugin and sign in
Follow install the plugin. It shows an 8-character code; you type it on the approval page while signed in. No password goes into N.I.N.A. Not using N.I.N.A.? The standalone uploader signs in the same way.
4. Enter the join code
Enter it in the plugin, or on the join page. You see what the project asks of contributors (calibration policy, minimum exposure, camera types), choose a display name and an optional country, and accept the terms of contribution.
You also choose whether the owner may download your raw frames. It is off by default; the owner gets the integrated masters either way. You can change it later in your dashboard.
5. Map your filters once
The plugin lists the filter names from your N.I.N.A. profile and suggests the project's filter for each. Confirm them once. See filter mapping.
6. Image as usual
Each saved light frame is queued and uploaded when your upload policy allows. The verdict on each frame appears in the plugin and on your dashboard: accepted, rejected with a reason, or quarantined. What each reason means.
Limits
- Per contributor per project: 60 GB of raw frames and 2,000 frames, unless the owner asks for more.
- A single frame can be up to 512 MB and 20,000 pixels on a side.
- Uploads go straight to storage in resumable 16 MiB parts; if your connection drops, the plugin resumes the same frame.
Leaving
An owner can remove a member and either keep or withdraw their frames. You can ask for your account to be deleted, which removes your personal data and withdraws your frames from the next gold stack.
